How many counselors and campers live in a cabin? There are 8 to 11 campers and two staff members in each cabin. The number is decided upon by the actual size of the cabin and the age of the campers.

Late 80's / Early 90s Ocoee Memories

| I don't remember my exact years at camp but I do remember some of the happenings. For example...
There were two counselors there from France. The guys name was Harvee and I forgot the girls name. Anyways, one night, we were sitting on the canoe dock and Stu was leading a sing along. We started singing Aloette. Well, the two French counselors started cracking up and no one knew why. They were laughing at the meaning of the song...
There was a totally hot counselor there named Billy from Columbia, Buga Valle, South America. He is where I got my love of volleyball.
Nights of playing Excaliber, singing around the camp fire (one song in particular and a valley and a mountain), becoming a ragger.
My counselors were the best and even though I was scared to death of camping they helped me through the torment of it. Thanks to Lindsey and Carla.
Also, Bill Severance knew how to make me feel great about being there.
So, thanks to all of those that were there in my years. You made that a VERY memorable time for me and I am sure many others!! |
