What do I bring to camp? Camp is very active and takes place 90% of the time in the out-of-doors. Old comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty are all that you require. After you register you will be sent a "What To Bring List" which will help you make the decision. You probably won’t need to go buy new things for camp. Most campers sleep in a lightweight sleeping bag. You will probably want some twin bed sheets and a pillow.

Double Rainbows on the 4th of July

| Looking back at 2001, my favorite memory took place on the 4th of July. We made homemade icecream that day just before it started pouring down rain. It was Decision Night, and we couldn't have our campfire outside because of the storm. We all sat together in the Rec Hall and burned our decisions in a small can. Then, suddenly the rain cleared. We looked out and the entire sky was golden. Someone noticed a rainbow over the canoe dock, so we all took off running to the dock to find not one....but two complete, beautiful rainbows stretching across the entire lake to Chilhowee. It was like God was smiling down on us and giving us hope and peace in the decisions we had just made for Him. |
